Spring in newport is just as romantic as you would expect it to be

Jocelyn & Sean’s wedding day in Newport, Rhode Island is proof that sometimes the unexpected leads to something even more beautiful than originally planned. As two Navy officers, they had envisioned tying the knot at the Naval Officer’s Club—but when plans shifted last minute, they seamlessly reimagined their day and welcomed 150 of their closest family and friends to Newport Vineyards instead.

The day began at a beautifully restored historic firehouse in downtown Newport, where Jocelyn and Sean got ready surrounded by so much anticipation and joy. The space, originally built in the late 1800s and thoughtfully brought back to life, added such a unique and meaningful start to their story .

Set among acres of sweeping vines and open farmland, the vineyard created the most romantic, tucked-away backdrop for their celebration . Their ceremony took place on the patio, where soft coastal light and vineyard views made every moment feel intimate and intentional—like it was always meant to unfold this way.

My favorite detail of the day was convincing Sean to bring along his vintage Land Rover for their couple's portraits, a reminder of their origin story when they began dating! From navigating unexpected changes with grace to celebrating surrounded by the people who matter most, Jocelyn & Sean’s wedding was a perfect reminder that the heart of a wedding day isn’t the plan—it’s the love, the resilience, and the way everything comes together exactly as it should. ✨
