The story of a photographer
When I was growing up, I had no idea that photography was the path that I wanted to take. In 2nd grade, I would've told you I wanted to be a Veterinarian. In 5th grade, I would've told you a professional horseback rider. Even in high school, I would have told you a teacher! Photography fell into my lap after years of forcing friends and family in front of my camera. I stumbled through life after high school struggling to find my purpose and passion in this world. I transferred to four different colleges (with four different majors!) within two years trying to figure out the loaded question of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life (a completely crazy question for a 17 year old, I think).
THEN, GOD SHOWED ME THAT THE DOOR WAS OPEN, I JUST KEPT CLOSING IT
I was so busy doing things that I had thought that everyone else in my life wanted me to do, but I wasn't finding the thing that made my heart happy. SO, I did my research, found a school with a photography program, and decided to spend my time in school learning about my passion, and growing my technical skills. Now, I have an Associates degree in Photographic Technology and am currently earning my Bachelors in Photography! I feel like the luckiest person in the world because I am able to do something that makes me SO SO happy, and create memories for others as I do it!
