Hometown Advantage

I recently had the sweetest engagement session with Mariela and Nick, and I’m so excited to share a little peek into our time together! We started in the heart of Morristown at the iconic Vail Mansion in Morristown, a spot that not only offers incredible charm but also served as a meaningful location for the couple. Between the clean, romantic light and the elegant historic setting, it was the perfect backdrop to kick off our shoot.

Mariela and Nick have the kind of connection that makes my job easy—their laughs came naturally, their hugs felt effortless, and the way they looked at each other? You could feel the love.

From there, we made our way to Cranford, New Jersey the town they call home. I love when couples choose places that actually mean something to them—it adds such a personal touch to the photos. Cranford’s charming downtown streets, quiet residential corners, and little pockets of greenery gave us the perfect mix of small-town warmth and timeless backdrops.

As golden hour hit, we wandered through some of their favorite spots. Whether they were walking hand in hand down the sidewalk or cuddled up on a park bench, they brought so much genuine joy to the session. You could tell they weren’t just posing—they were present with each other, and it made for such a fun, relaxed shoot.
